Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026. This Policy is part of the Terms of Service. You must accept it before using the assistant.
Important: Because Routel routes to third-party AI providers using your own keys, you must also comply with each provider’s usage policies (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, etc.). Where a provider is stricter, the stricter rule applies.
You may not use Routel to:
- Break the law, or facilitate illegal acts.
- Generate or distribute malware, ransomware, exploits, or instructions to compromise systems or circumvent security.
- Create content that sexualizes minors or that exploits, endangers, or harms children in any way.
- Produce instructions that materially enable weapons (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or high-yield explosives) or other mass harm.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against people; or run targeted political manipulation or disinformation campaigns.
- Infringe intellectual property or misappropriate trade secrets or personal data.
- Generate fraudulent, deceptive, or spam content, or impersonate others.
- Provide unlicensed regulated advice (medical, legal, financial) presented as professional advice.
Provider-protective rules (so we all stay compliant)
- No key pooling / reselling. You may connect only your own provider credentials, for your own use (or your organization’s seats). Do not use Routel to resell raw model access to third parties.
- No competing-model training. Do not use outputs obtained through Routel to train or develop a competing AI model, where the relevant provider prohibits it.
- No circumvention. Do not attempt to bypass provider rate limits, safety filters, or regional restrictions.
- Respect attribution. Don’t misrepresent which model produced an output or imply provider endorsement.
Security & fair use
Don’t attempt to breach the Service, probe other accounts, scrape at abusive rates, or evade spend caps and rate limits. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations and, where required, report unlawful activity.
Reporting
Report abuse or security issues to support@routel.ai. We may update this Policy as provider policies and law evolve.
